Stay at home moms!

So I over heard a conversation tonight and a lady was talking about how she could never be a stay at home mom she would be to bored "I don't know what I would do all day" I wanted to turn around to her and say well you would look like me, still in the sweatpants you put on at 5:30 this morning when you got up to take your puking dying husband to the E.R. again, your hair would look like crap and you might realize at 9:00pm that you haven't brushed your teeth because there wasn't time. Because when you got home from the E.R. everyone needed lunch but nobody wanted to eat the same thing so you made four different kinds of lunch, cleaned that up tried to pick up the toys off the floor so you didn't trip and drop the load of laundry you were carrying down 3 flights of stairs on you or the baby that is attached to your leg, then by the time you looked up you had talked to two or three credit card people telling them to go you know where because you don't care how low they can get your credit card interest they must take up alot of time because its all the sudden 5:30 DINNER time oh yet again nobody wanted any thing the same so you made four different dinners, sat down to eat yours and some one needed a drink, sat back down some one needed a fork, sat back down, MOM I spilt my milk so you cleaned that up sat back down, DOORBELL, Sat back down well your food was colder than cold but hey the kids are playing nice and your sick husband is asleep. (best meal all week!) oh now its time to clean up dishes oh crap the baby is back tied to my leg, hold on tight because mommmys not stopping till all the dishes are in the dishwasher, aw finally the countertop is wipped down and the dishes are done MOM I WANT A TREAT! clean that up gets kids ready for bed, head to walmart still looking like a you did at 5:30 AM oh well at least you brushed your teeth!!!
And you do it everyday why? Certainly not for the money!! But because it means the most to be there when your kids awake from bed and when they crawl in. Or to see your baby learn to crawl or to have your three year old say mom take a break and watch a movie with me and knowing you can. but most of all just being there being a part of every second of their day showing you love them so much that you dont care if you dont have the nicest car or your hair is grown out two inches. my kids are happy and safe and with me and thats all I care! If you come to my house at 6:00pm and I am still in my pj's please dont assume I sat on my money maker all day and did nothing because I probably havent sat down except to pee!!! I love being a stay at home mom I really do and I am so greatful that my husband works so hard so that I get to stay home and do "NOTHING" all day!!!
